Rush Hour kick off a new series of official Trax reissues (!!!) with this landmark record from Ron Hardy. 'Sensation' is reputedly the only other "official" Hardy release aside from the Marcus Mixx release 'Without Makeup', amidst a formidable catalogue of unofficial edits, mastered-from-tape recordings and bootlegs. As history tells us, Hardy is responsible for shaping the original Chicago sound with his legendary DJ sets at the infamous Music Box and Warehouse venues and 'Sensation' should give you a very clear idea of the sound he was formulating at the time. It's a thrilling slice of steaming club life featuring a breathtaking vocal from Adrien Jett (who also sang on 'Your Love') that's seen original copies change hands for over $100. Now remastered and repressed we can finally afford to own a copy and give everyone a chance to bring the house down in classic style. Hugely recommended!!!
