IDIB rule our world again this week with Farah's attempt to turn her gay mate straight on 'Gay Boy'. It's sincerely one of the funniest records we've heard in years, referencing the ice cool synths of LL Cool J's 'I Need Love', but in a role-reversed context with nonchalent lines like "Gay boy gay boy, won't you change you mind" "We can watch gay porn to get you in the mood, we can go shopping at the gap". The production is all glittering slow synthlines and finger-clicking percussion and that tongue-in-cheek confessional delivery just slays it. If i was drinking milk when needle first touched 'pon wax we'd have one unsellable copy of Farah's 'Gay Boy'. Hilarious.
