luke abbott - Tuesday EP
Output Recordings veteran Luke Abbott resurfaces on the Border Community imprint for this nice little 6 track EP, clocking in at a healthy 22 minutes. Much like the childlike pastoral scenery on the cover, Abbott's music is soft and doe-eyed, making use of a cascading arrangement of twinkle synths and some lovely melodic arrangements that are somehow interwoven around a padded 4/4 beat. When the fliters come out and the music is given a lo-fi overhaul Abbott is at his best, managing to sound both life-affirming and sincere - always a winning formula. Good stuff.
