underground resistance - Illuminator / Logic Bomb
A classic slice of UR, with 2 tracks taken from the Electronic Warfare CD, one of them being 'Illuminator' which is one hell of a Detroit anthem, classic synth melodies and strings collide to create soulful machine music, quirky beats and bubbling basslines fill the rhythm while the strings bring back memories of a certain Derrick May, uplifting melodies and solid techno make this an essential piece of the UR puzzle. The flip is the club killer 'Logic Bomb' a hard jacking rhythm with some stepping drum action and squelchy synths that add the ever present UR funk, again this track reminisces back to Derrick May with its building strings, but is unmistakebly Mad Mike in one of his jauntier moods, a brilliant UR 12".
