Cold Mission was the undercover guise of 4Hero's Mark Clair (Manix) and Dennis McFarlane (Dego) for small handful of 12"s between 1994 and 1996. They're considered treasured artefacts of early artcore jungle, mixing rave-ready elements with jazzier abstraction and sublime experimentation that you wouldn't find at many of the bigger raves of the time. This is the real underground sound, featuring rare and obscure classics like the floating stepper 'Drug Store Rude Boy', the hyper-cute 'Comin' on Strong' and the poignant rinse of 'The Sugar Daddy Toone'. The course of music will never throw up anything quite like this again, so if you missed out the first time don't make the same mistake twice! Highly recommended for fans of Rufige Cru, A Guy Called Gerald or Foul Play!
