Fool's Gold present their best release to date with the debut from Night Slugs associate Kingdom, backed with remixes from Todd Edwards, Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. Following his scorching remix of 'United Groove' and a crucial mix for the Discobelle blogspot, Kingdom reveals his fusion of Euro-crunked house with a brash, big-boned American sensibility on 'Mind Reader', featuring Shyvonne's blazing R'n'B vocal over a ruffneck Bassline-meets-Booty riddim that's been marking the playlists of those in the know. We're also partial to the Bok Bok remix, giving the synths an unstable accordian-like wheeze while resetting the riddim with a proper bottom-heavy swagger before his Night Slugs compadre L-Vis gives up a fidgeting Funky version. In fine style, Todd Edwards completes the package, refracting the vocals and melody in his inimitably diced dialect over a 'floor friendly 4/4. Basically, this is BIG!
