The ace Dreck imprint returns in the closing strokes of '09 with a dope release from Antonelli. This is one label we can always trust to turn out the good stuff and 'Disconnected' doesn't deviate from that formula. The multi-talented producer looks to the arpeggiated Italo bass of Moroder for inspiration on 'Disconnected', rolling with a richly analog rooted sound upon which he layers purely hardware manipulated synthlines cruising towards a clearly defined point on the horizon. The equally ace 'Operatore' again takes cues from the early 80's Italo/Munich sound with deftly scultped and intuitively arranged synthlines enveloping a kinkily hypnotic groove to really get lost in. Recommended!
