marcel fengler - Twisted Bleach EP
The highly underrated Berghain resident and singular producer works out three tracks of updated Chicago/Berlin functions for OstGut Ton. 'Twisted Bleach' is all clipped string samples and pumping bass weight so visceral you can smell the sweat, while 'Gridlock' is a monstrous builder with that refined but relentless Berghain flavour. Much like 'Yaki' on his previous 12", this one also includes a non-standard addendum in 'Chi Twine', one of those broken flow, darkside techno tracks that he and Dettmann like to drop at prime opportunities. Smart and effective - killer twelve.
