The fourth and final part in this series from Deepchord's Echospace project is a majestic end-piece that's full of the reduced dub effervescence and spring-reverb treatments that have provided Rod Modell and Steve Hitchell with such critical and popular acclaim in recent months. The most dense emission from the deepchord vaults is saved till last, "aequinoxium" slowly emerging as a rumbling layering of heavy bass pulses and drifting chords - much in the vein of rhythm & Sound's largely instrumental 12" series. "winter in seney" closes the set with a beatless stretch of analogue malfunctioning, the banks of synths, effects units and analogue machinery powering down for one final time. Beautifully mastered and cut by dubplates and mastering in Berlin (the series generally has been given one of the highest quality vinyl treatments we've heard) - this really is just about as good as it gets in dub techno.
