When Pacou first made an appearance a decade ago people were somehow convinced that it was a nom de plume for Maurizio - so refined where his productions. Since then Pacou has gone on to produce material for Juan Atkins and has made more than a substantial name for himself - returning here with an out and out killer twelve that returns to those Maurizio comparisons on the A-Side with a rediculously deep rendition of textured dub variations, crystal clear hi-hats and a faintly reverberating underlay that just works a treat. The flipside is much more suited to the Rob Hood / Jeff Mills fans among you - a driving, high-octane exercise in looped minimalism that just kills it. A mighty return to form - get on it.
