We've settled down after our gush session over D1's wicked 12" for Dub Police the other week, only to be smacked up sideways by this killer double pack for Tempa. D1 aka Dwayne Marsh is one of those dubstep auteurs who just can't be messed with, here skillfully avoiding the pitfalls of halfstep torpor and neatly binding elements of everything from old skool house and garage, to bleeding edge bassline and tricksy 3/4 time signatures to bend the dancefloor to his will. Opener 'Ongie Bongie' is something of an anthem on the dubstep and basswise circuits at the moment, and should be well known by all the 'step faithful, while 'Cave' on the second plate is a scarily expansive beast with highly mutated hardcore DNA. This is probably one of the best things you'll hear on Tempa this year and is very very highly recommended!!
