Resonant's Stafrann Hakon is on top form here, sticking to his eteheral agenda with a sun-drenched Sigur Ros vibe, although this time round adding an almost country-esque twang to its paces. Vast dessert landscapes bring themselves to mind, rather than the ice-capped icelandic vista's you'd normally associate with this kind of music. Lovely stuff. Tennessee-based collective Emery Reel, meanwhile, feature on the flip with a more percussion-heavy nod to the masters of Post Rock, not unlike Tortoise, Do Make Say Think et al. Very nice indeed...
