The pastoral retreat made a perfect backdrop for Cyann's delicate, breathy female vocals and the band's organic, analogue sound. The result is a dense and lovely and often intense musical landscape that owes its sound in equal measure to epic catharsis of groups like Sigur Ros, the folk flavors of Robert Wyatt & the Canterbury folk-rock scene as it does to the exceptionally concentrated psych soundscapes of early 70s Pink Floyd."
