A delightful showcase for the talents of the Flau label's community, featuring a few familiar names and plenty of fresh new talent on show, with key contributions from the likes of Part Timer, The Boats and Aus among others. Flau is most certainly one of those labels that achieves a seamless, unified sound from its artists, exuding a gentle warmth at every turn. A concept introduced by the wonderful 'Poplam02' by Chipoe, whose mumbled electronic discourses perfectly capture Flau's subtly sculpted loveliness. Next, The Boats fire up 'Through The Leaf Filtered Light', a combination of hushed microbeats, low-level electronic tones and an oddly distant sounding vocal that keeps banging on about Tarzan. All very odd, but still very lovely. At the more acoustic end of the scale, Ljudbilden & Piloten serve up their delightfully simple 'Pen On Paper', while Glim's crisply glitching 'Mole' represents a more processed sound. Despite the different production aesthetics, these pieces really do seem to come from the same creative mindset, and the whole playlist comes close to sounding like a single artist's vision.
