conforce - Escapism
Fine album of deep techno from Holland's Conforce, new on Delsin. The Basic Channel influence is stronger than ever, but there's plenty else going: check the grooving analogue bass of 'Lonely Run', the low-slung breakbeats and cabbalistic synth atmospherics of 'Elude', the driving warehouse chords of 'Shadows Of The Invisible', the crackly drum shuffle that underpins 'Within'. It's easy to see why Conforce has been adopted into the Delsin family - there's an artistry and authority to his productions resminiscent of his new labelmates Redshape and Morphosis. His sound, like theirs, is unashamedly classic and very carefully honed; your in very safe hands indeed.
