Kate first came to prominence in the mid '00s with a handful of well received releases for Mental Groove and Output, while lending her unique vocal talents to records by Felix Da Housecat and Kalabrese. After a break to give birth and bring up her first child, she's now arrived at a crystalline blend of dark and modern post-pop, blacklit Disco and Electronica, bearing comparisons with the likes of Fever Ray, Planningtorock and Emika. Her free-ranging and versatile soprano confidently complements her productions, taking centre stage against a backdrop of diverse productions, harmoniously mixed with label head James Holden. They take in simmering synth-pop on 'I Knit You' and 'Dancing On Your Scalp' thru to the noirish atmosphere of 'Maze Rider (Live From The Cave)', the darkwave impulses of the title track and Zwischenwelt vibes of 'Holy Beast'.
