"Planet Mu present the second album from Manchester's Mrs Jynx aka Hannah Davidson. The familiar early 90s pastoral synthlines and nostalgic counterpoints are here but come with the added variety of some decidedly 80s sounding basslines along the way. The deceptively intelligent 'Shark Carousel' builds on the early '90s electronic influenced sound of Jynx's debut. There's a little more emphasis on lower frequencies and slightly more upbeat arrangements, but all the femininity, sensitivity and joy that made 2008's 'The Standoffish Cat' so endearing are intact."
