Clued-up House and Techno heads will be well aware of this Polish born, California-raised DJ/Producer via her acclaimed mixes for RA, LWE or most recently Fact, and equally her small but immaculate catalogue of releases for premier outlets such as Perlon and NSI. Her brand of electronic music is well aware of the experimental approach which informs the finest dancefloor records, subtly involving her taste for avant-garde electro-acoustics and hypnotic rhythm programming with the finesse of her label mate Villalobos or the inherent intricacy of Tobias and Max Loderbauer's NSI. productions. Conceptually, 'How Do You Do' is linked with 'Peoplewatching' a guide to body language written by controversial British zoologist Desmond Morris, thematically connecting each track with a quote or idea from the book. Ultimately though, this is just one of the finest albums of avant-leaning techno you'll hear all year, veering between sparse passages of electro-acoustic trickery, through experiments in pulsing, jazz-infused House and highly considered minimalist techno. Recommended!
