maddslinky - Make Your Peace (2010)
Tru Thoughts present a reissue of Maddslinky's overlooked classic Garage album, 'Make Your Peace'. Originally released in 2002, it fell the same fate as much UK urban music of the time, overlooked by mainstream media but destined to sow the seeds for a generation to come, as it's still citied by Skream as a massive influence on his sound today. Notably, the label have tacked on his classic 'Cargo', which was recently dusted off by Kode 9 for his DJ Kicks session, besides a ruck of collabs with everyone from legendary keys player Kaidi Tatham of Bugz In The Attic, Will White from Propellerheads, Luca Roccatagliati aka Ajello/Daluq, and vocalists Kevin Robinson, Kayo, Juiceman and Simba. For fans of Broken Beat, Dark Garage, and Nu Soul, this is just choice.
