Soul Jazz reissue of this definitive, super-rare and in-demand boogie soul LP produced by Roy Ayers. It was originally released in 1981 on Ayers' own Uno Melodic label, with a bespoke set of arrangements for the honeyed tones of Eighties Ladies singer Sylvia Striplin, who would also provide vox for the jazz fusion group Aquarian Singers. The music is some of Roy's finest, full of those trademark bassline bubbles and super, super slick guitars creating an air of opulence that's made it a holy grail among rare groove collectors and DJs. The attention to detail from Soul Jazz is second to none, offering a heavyweight double vinyl pressing which sounds louder and clearer than the original, and comes housed in full colour replica sleeve. A must for the '80s soul aficionados.
