Gruff Rhys doesn't really need much of an introduction, but the the Super Furry Animals frontman has teamed up with the vastly more mysterious Tony Da Gatorra, a Brazilian TV and VCR repairman who has fashioned his very own strange musical instrument in the form of the "Gatorra" a cross between a guitar and a drum machine. This album was made when Gruff - already a confirmed fan - decided to seek Tony out during his recent travels in South America and the two quickly booked into a Sao Paulo recording studio for a five-hour stretch over which to make this album. Expect strange primordial electronics, incredible off-the-cuff beats and out-there songwriting/vocals from both men.
