Devon Folklore Tapes Vol. 1 - Two Witches (Hardback Book Sleeve)

Devon Folklore Tapes is a truly unique research and musical publication series covering and soundtracking the folklore of the South West County of Devon in volumes of tapes housed in bespoke books. Exploring mysteries, myths and strange phenomena of the old county. Each new volume will see two researchers both delving into a particular area of folklore. Witchcraft, Sea Monsters, The Devil, Lights in the sky and Pixies are just a handful of areas that will be covered with the help of old folklorists such as Sabine Baring-Gould and Theo Brown and the dusty corners of library vaults across the country. The project will eventually take in all the counties of England creating a musical bridge between times, saving and preserving old folklore from obscurity by presenting them with their own contemporary soundtrack. Each researcher brings his or her own unique musical interpretation on a theme. The project is intimately handmade with each cassette hand sprayed and presented inside a hollowed out hardback book with hand sewn booklet inlay and hand type set front cover. Each book is hand numbered and stamped using a unique hand carved rubber stamp. As result of the time spent on each book the release is limited to 24 bespoke editions each with their own unique character and colouring.
